chairwoman.Former spokesman Dave Shaver also resigned from the board.Earlier
this week, chairman Jim Braun departed the governing body after questions were
raised about Ritter and his company.We are doing everything we can right now to
support the board and the mission.The center’s board will continue to meet over
the weekend.They plan to find an interim CEO and to set up a governance plan
with the help of the Gulf Coast Community Foundation.They also will discuss
Ritter’s two children, who he hired as employees of Brides Against Breast
Cancer, a subsidiary of the center that sells used wedding dresses.They both are
pretty high-performing employees.Ritter’s termination is the latest episode in a
career marked by bankruptcy, failed business ventures and questions of

payments to the Ritz-Carlton Sarasota.in 2011 and 2012 to buy and expand Brides
Against Breast Cancer.Mark Pritchett, the foundation\'s senior vice president of
community investment, told Mariash he would consider deferring payments on the
foundation’s second loan if improvements are made.A donor has backed the loan,
so the foundation will support any new direction the Center goes, Pritchett
