The Charlotte Bobcats announced they\'ve signed undrafted freeagent forward James Southerland from Syracuse.

The move was announced Thursday. Terms of the deal were notdisclosed.

The 6-foot-8 Southerland averaged a career-high 13.3 points and5.2 rebounds per game as a senior last year at Syracuse. He shot39.8 percent from beyond the 3-point arc and his long-distanceshooting gives him a chance at making the Bobcats\' opening dayroster KD 6 GS Sale Online.

For his career Southerland averaged 7.9 points and 3.3 reboundsper game for the Orange.
