Bale a chance to play in Wales qualifier

Gareth Bale could be passed fit to take part in Wales\' World Cup qualifier against Macedonia on Friday, assistant coach Kit Symons has confirmed.

Bale has not played a competitive match this season after suffering a foot injury while on pre-season duty with Tottenham and there are doubts over whether the Real Madrid recruit will be risked by Chris Coleman during the international break.

But Symons insists Bale is both willing and able to feature for Wales against Group A\'s bottom side KD 6 GS Sale Online.

"He is here, he is really keen to play and wanted to be part of the squad so that is fantastic," he told Sky Sports News. "He is obviously fit for selection and it has been fantastic having him as part of the squad, but obviously we are mindful of how much training he has actually done so far this season. The assistant boss is also not taking any chances against a lowly Macedonia.

"We have seen plenty of footage and had scouting reports and they have troubled the top teams, they have some good players and are a good team and we certainly won\'t underestimate them," he said. "We are delighted with the squad we have, it is more than strong enough to get a positive result out here."
