The StFX X-Men (2-6, 0-1 playoffs) had four players selected while three members of the Mount Allison Mounties (0-8) were honoured. Graves, who is an all-star for the first time in his career, led the league in passing yards (1,856), passing TDs (17) and punting average (36.7 yards per punt). He also caught a touchdown pass this season and rushed the ball 32 times for 179 yards on the ground and another major. Acadia receivers Michael Squires and Taylor Renaud, running back Zack Skibin along with offensive linemen Colin Murray, Tyler Honeywood and Travis Miller were the other Axemen from the offensive side of the ball to be selected. Squires, a native of Halifax, N.S., caught 31 passes for 432 yards in 2011 and led the Atlantic conference in receiving touchdowns with seven, while Renaud added a league-leading 653 yards on 30 receptions. Skibin, a second-year player from Edmonton, Alta., led the Axemen in rushing with 75 attempts and 470 yards this season. Acadia defensive linemen Jake Thomas and John Wilson and linebacker Tom Labenski were also recognized for their respective seasons. Thomas, a fourth-year student from Douglas, N.B., registered a career-high 9.0 sacks and his 14.0 tackles for a loss led the AUS conference. Wilson had 24.5 tackles this season, including 7.0 for a loss, while Labenski, an all-star previously in 2008 and 2010, led the Axemen with 44.0 tackles this season. Third-year defensive back Cameron Wade (Moncton, N.B.) rounds out the contingent of Axemen selected. Wade had a career-high 35.0 tackles this season, one interception and led the conference with four forced fumbles. Running back Craig Leger, defensive end Rob Jubenville, CIS leading scorer Brett Lauther and reigning AUS most outstanding player Jahmeek Taylor of Saint Marys were among the players from the Huskies honoured. Leger, a fifth-year tailback from Salmon River, N.S., led the conference in rushing with 786 yards and wraps up his career with 2,590 rushing yards, ranking him third in school history and sixth all-time on the AUS list. Jubenville, in his fourth year out of Oshawa, Ont., led the conference with 10.0 sacks and a team-high 47.0 tackles this season. His 17.5 career sacks are also the most in school history. Lauthers 91 points led in the nation in scoring in 2011 and his 17 field goals made this season rank fourth all-time in AUS single-season history. Taylor, a fourth-year player from Mississauga, Ont., is the top special teams player for the second year in a row after leading the conference in all-purpose yards with 151.6 per game. His 1,666 career punt return yards rank third all-time in AUS history. Other Huskies chosen include rookie cornerback Kayin Marchand-Wright, safety Neil King, wide receiver Ryan Tremblay and offensive lineman Guillaume Gagnier. Marchand-Wright had an AUS-leading six interceptions this year, tying the SMU single-season record. King, also a 2009 all-star, finished with 24.0 sacks this season and Tremblay was SMUs top receiver with a team-leading 22 receptions for 465 yards and four touchdowns. StFXs four selections are all first-time all-stars and include receiver Jordan Catterall, cornerback Raye Hartmann, linebacker Brett Hubbeard and offensive tackle Colin Wicks. Catterall had a team-leading 432 yards receiving and three receiving TDs this season, while Hubbeard led the squad with 44.0 tackles, 9.0 of which were for a loss. Fifth-year linebacker Luke Ekoh (Toronto, Ont.), fourth-year defensive back Matt Kenny (Moncton, N.B.) and rookie defensive lineman Jacob LeBlanc (Halifax, N.S.) were the three Mounties chosen to this years all-star squad. All three players are AUS all-stars for the first time. ALAMEDA, Calif. -- The Oakland Raiders are ready to get a long look at Terrelle Pryor to see if he can be their quarterback of the future. Pryor got the nod to start Sundays season finale in San Diego in place of the injured Carson Palmer. After being deemed not ready to be the backup when Palmer got hurt last week in Carolina, Pryor now gets the chance to make his first career start. "We know what his strengths are, we know what his weaknesses are," coach Dennis Allen said Friday. "But really, to give him an opportunity to go out in a game, against a division opponent, at their place, and give him a chance to play, it gives us a view into the future." Allen said he told Pryor and Matt Leinart early in the week that he was leaning to Pryor but wanted to see how practice developed. He said he thought Pryor responded well and now wants to see what his athleticism can bring to a team that has failed to score a touchdown the past two weeks. Pryor said hes confident he is ready to start his first game since the Sugar Bowl for Ohio State against Arkansas on Jan. 4, 2011, but admitted to having some anxiety. "Im nervous. Until the first play Im going to be nervous," he said. "Im human like you guys. Im human like everybody. I just happen to play one of the best sports in the world. Ill be nervous until the first snap." Pryor was taken in the third round of the supplemental draft in August 2011 by late Raiders owner Al Davis. Pryor missed almost all of training camp and then served a five-game suspension before he could be activated. He got on the field just once as a rookie -- committing a false start before his only play -- as he needed to work on his footwork and mechanics. Pryor got a few chances to shine in the preseason but was then inactive the first 11 games of this year. He played briefly the past two weeks in specialty packages. He completed one of two passes for 5 yards, ran the ball once for 2 yards and caught a 22-yard pass. Pryor said he guarantees he will have no problems with the logistics of quarterback, calling the play in the huddle, getting to the line of scrimmage on time and recognizing defences. "Im confident," he said. "Im sure my teammates have confidence in me as well. Like I said, you cant put everything on my shoulders, cant try to do everything. Just go oout and let the players make plays and let myself make plays.dddddddddddd" Pryor will be the 15th player to start at quarterback for the Raiders since the start of the 2003 season. "Of course he brings the running ability, but hes trying to be a leader out there, have command of the huddle and doing the job that a starting quarterback should do," receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey said. Leinart had hoped to be able to make his third start since 2007 but thought the Raiders might give the nod to Pryor to see what he can do in a real game. "The competitor in me wants to play, wants to start, but I do understand that they need to evaluate him, and I get that," Leinart said. "Obviously, youre not happy by any means, but at the same time Im a team player. Ive learned a lot this year, and Im happy to help." The Raiders also could have a new starter on the offensive line as starting right guard Mike Brisiel missed his third straight practice as he recovers from an ankle injury and concussion. Brisiel, one of Oaklands biggest free-agent signings this past off-season, has struggled in his first season with the Raiders. He has committed a team-high 10 penalties and been part of a running game that has struggled to generate any consistency. Brisiel is listed as questionable and will be a game-time decision. If he cant start, rookie Tony Bergstrom would get the nod. Bergstrom was Oaklands top draft pick in April at 95th overall but has struggled to get on the field. He has played eight games this season and gotten 75 snaps on offence, with most coming as a tight end in Oaklands six-linemen alignment. "Hes going to go through some growing pains like any new player would," offensive co-ordinator Greg Knapp said. "I feel good about him. I like what Ive seen in practice. I also have seen the rookie mistakes that I know this might show up in a game. But Im looking forward to get him some reps to see him play live." NOTES: CB Phillip Adams will be placed on IR with a groin injury and be replaced in the lineup by Brandian Ross, who has played well as a reserve in recent weeks. ... DB Cory Nelms and DL Brandon Bair will be activated from the practice squad for Sundays game. S Tyvon Branch (neck, ankle) returned to practice Friday and is listed as questionable. cheap nfl jerseys wholesale jerseys \' \' \'
