Despite scant first-team experience and a murderers row of talent ahead of him, Green is hoping to break through in 2014-15.My goal is to play for the first team, Green told Sporting News/Goal USA. I have to train good and I have to play good, and then its the decision of the Sapatos Nike premier coach, Pep Guardiola, expressed his belief that Green would stay with the Bayern first team for the upcoming season on a conference call earlier in the week.I think hes going to stay, but I think well see the preseason, Guardiola said. I know him and I know he trains well and hes a good guy and my first idea is that hes going to stay for the rest of the season.Despite Guardiolas words, Green appears to face an uphill battle for meaningful playing time this season. Having already proved himself with the reseve team, if hes not ready for meaningful first-team minutes, a loan could be a reasonable solution this season.Though Green doesnt discount the possibility, he remains focused on his current club.Everything is possible but right now I dont think about a loan, I just think about Bayern and I want to play for Bayern, Green said.Green will get his first chance to impress Guardiola in Bayerns upcoming two-game U.S. tour, during which it will face Chivas de Guadalajara at Red Bull Arena on July 31, before headed to Portland to face the MLS All-Star team Aug. 6.Im looking forward to seeing all my teammates from the national team who will be playing on the All-Star team, Green said.
