ATLANTA -- Kyle Korver was concerned that the Atlanta Hawks were about to squander another chance to beat a struggling opponent. Nike Roshe Run Herre . "We easily couldve hung our heads there, but we kept fighting, got some good looks and we knocked them down," he said. "The momentum switched our way, and we could just feel it. The game turned really quickly." Jeff Teague scored 19 points, Korver added 17 and the Hawks helped their playoff chances with a 105-97 victory over the Boston Celtics on Wednesday night. With four games remaining in the regular season, Atlanta increased its lead to two games over the New York Knicks for the eighth and final Eastern Conference playoff spot. Avery Bradley finished with 24 points and Rajon Rondo had 19 points with 12 assists for Boston, which has lost nine straight. The Celtics dropped their 13th in a row on the road, breaking the franchise mark set during the final 13 games of 1978-79. The Hawks, who never trailed after Korver hit his second straight 3-pointer to make it 93-92 with 3:09 remaining, avoided losing at home for the second straight night to a team eliminated from playoff contention. Teague and Korver combined for 18 points, three assists, two rebounds and two steals in the fourth quarter. Paul Millsap finished with 14 points and 14 rebounds and Elton Brand added 13 points and 13 rebounds for the Hawks, who have won four of six. Atlanta lost to Detroit on Tuesday. "We knew we had to win," Teague said. "It was a must win for us, so we came out played with a lot of intensity in the fourth quarter." Boston, which blew a 19-point, third-quarter lead and lost at Detroit in its most recent game on Saturday, couldnt hold a nine-point advantage with 5:44 remaining. "In the second half we had a big lead and we let them back in it," Rondo said. "We have to get stops, and I start with myself and turning the ball over. They turned up the pressure in the fourth quarter and took us out of our offence." The Hawks next three games are against teams ahead of them in the East, including Saturday at home against two-time defending champion Miami. Atlanta matched its biggest lead of the first half at 14 when Shelvin Mack hit a 3 to make it 49-35 at the 6:31 mark of the second. But Rondo, who sat out the loss to the Pistons to rest his surgically repaired right knee, scored seven points in the last 2:34 of the second, helping Boston cut the lead to 56-51 at halftime. Rondo had a few dazzling moments in his first game in Atlanta since tearing his anterior cruciate ligament Jan. 25, 2013, at Philips Arena. Early in the third, Jared Sullinger stole the ball from Brand under the Atlanta basket and flipped the ball to Rondo, who bounced a pass halfway up the court that led to Jeff Greens fastbreak layup and cut the lead to 56-53. About 6 minutes later, Rondo stole an inbound pass from Brand and hit a runner. He followed on the ensuing possession by driving on Teague and hitting a jumper in the lane to give Boston its first lead at 67-66. The Celtics biggest lead was nine on Rondos two free throws with 5:44 remaining. But Boston was outscored 19-3 over the next 4:31. "Our defence was what really fueled it," Atlanta coach Mike Budenholzer said. "We picked up our pressure and our effort. We some turnovers and some steals that led to transition baskets, especially a couple of those transition 3s for Kyle." Justin Dowling, Travis Morin and Francis Wathier also scored for the Stars (22-10-5), who bypassed Abbotsford for top spot in the West Division, and Mike Hedden tacked on two assists. Defenceman John Ramage was a team-worst minus-4 for the Heat (23-13-2), who dropped their fourth game in a row. Nike Free 5.0 Dame . -- Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Percy Harvin will have minor shoulder surgery soon to address a nagging injury he played with last season. DALLAS -- When the pounding of their sticks on the boards didnt get the attention of the officials, Dallas Stars players jumped off the bench and onto the ice while the game was going on. Their teammate, Rich Peverley, had collapsed, and Stars coach Lindy Ruff was among those trying frantically to carry him into a nearby tunnel. After the game stopped and the chaotic scene played out, Peverley was stabilized, transported to a hospital and in good condition Monday night. But for several anxious minutes on the ice, the Stars stood in stunned silence, clearly in distress, unsure what had happened to a player just six months removed from undergoing a procedure to correct an irregular heartbeat. "When he dropped, it was red alert," Ruff said after the game between Dallas and Columbus was postponed with the Blue Jackets leading 1-0 in the first period. "Dont worry about the game. It was about getting the doctors. The players dont want to play, and I dont want to coach the team right now." Stars forward Erik Cole tried to rush into the tunnel just after Peverley was carried through, only to be turned away. He then gnawed at the thumb on one of his gloves while he waited for word on what the players would do next. Sergei Gonchar stared blankly near fellow defenceman Trevor Daley, who was hunched over on the bench, wiping his face with a towel. "I was scared," Ruff said. Play was halted at 6:23, and the postponement was announced about 30 minutes later. Dr. Gil Salazar of UT Southwestern Hospitals said Peverley was treated "successfully" for a cardiac event at American Airlines Center. "We provided oxygen for him," Salazar said. "We started an IV. We did chest compressions on him and defibrillated him, provided some electricity to bring a rhythm back to his heart, and that was successful with one attempt, which is very reassuring. "As soon as we treated him, he regained consciousness. He was able to tell me where he was." Many in the hushed crowd lingered long after the postponement was announced "as aa result of the emotional state of the players on both teams caused by the medical emergency. Nike Air Max 90 Til B?rn. " The NHL didnt say when the game would be rescheduled. Peverleys wife, Nathalie, accompanied the Guelph, Ont., native to a hospital, and the Stars essentially told the Blue Jackets they werent up for finishing the game. "Theyre shaken and they want to reschedule. We understand that," John Davidson, the Blue Jackets president of hockey operations, told Fox Sports Ohio. "They were shaken to the core." Peverley missed the preseason and the season opener because of a procedure to correct an irregular heartbeat, a condition diagnosed during a training camp physical. He made his Stars debut on Oct. 5 against Washington. "We monitor him closely for a different type of arrhythmia he has," Salazar said. "He does have a pre-existing condition, and the condition -- a normal quivering of the heart that does not allow him to send blood to places where he needs to, in his brain and heart." Peverley sat out last weeks game at Columbus because of an irregular heartbeat. He had felt strange after last Mondays game and couldnt fly. He played in Dallas next two games before Monday. "There wasnt any concern," Ruff said. "Our doctors have done a fabulous job monitoring the situation." In 62 games this season before Monday, Peverley had seven goals and 23 assists. He was acquired last July from Boston with forward Tyler Seguin and defenceman Ryan Button for forwards Loui Eriksson, Reilly Smith and Matt Fraser, and defenceman Joe Morrow. "The first thing (Peverley) asked me was how much time was left in the first period," Ruff said. The Stars went to the airport after the postponement, and even had a scheduled departure for St. Louis that was earlier than it would have been if the game was played. Dallas is scheduled to play the Blues on Tuesday night. "Hes going to be OK," Ruff said. "The care hes getting and the care going forward is the most important thing." cheap jerseys wholesale jerseys ' ' '
