Lessio answered 12:45 into the second period, scoring in front of the net on a 5-on-3 power play, and the Pirates struck again a minute later on the power play through defenseman Brisebois. Louis added another for the Pirates 16:13 into the second, beating IceCaps goalie Eddie Pasquale. Just 2:52 into the third, Albert hit home a one-timer for the IceCaps to make it a 5-3 game.
