Big Ten Week 5 rankings: Buckeyes get big test vs. Badgers
The Buckeyes appear to be over the "Wisconsin thing."That is, the team that seems to spoil Ohio State's season when the Buckeyes look like a national championship contender. Since 1993, Wisconsin is 4-2-1 against Ohio State when the Buckeyes are ranked in the top five. Ohio State, however, has won five of the last six meetings, including last year's overtime win in Madison. That's the highlight of a week in which only six Big Ten teams are in action.

FALLING: Indiana. The Hoosiers had an opportunity to make a statement against Missouri and fell to 2-2 in the process. Indiana has an offense that can score with anybody, but the defense still allows a Big Ten-worst 32.8 points per game. Indiana might throw a scare into a team or two in conference play, but bowl eligibility remains the first concern.BOTTOM LINE: Either Ohio State or Wisconsin has won at least a share of the Big Ten championship each of the last eight seasons. It's not a stretch to pencil in the winner of this game in for a trip to Indianapolis. ... Minnesota and Iowa are both on a roll heading into their Big Ten opener. The Gophers have won two of the last three. ... Michigan will use its bye week to tune up an offense that committed eight turnovers in close wins against Akron and UConn. Is Devin Gardner really all that different than Denard Robinson? That's a question that will get answered in Big Ten play.
