PHILADELPHIA -- The Philadelphia Flyers say general manager Paul Holmgren has been released from the hospital and is home following a bike crash Monday at the New Jersey shore.

Avalon police say Holmgren told officers he lost his balance while riding Monday morning and suffered a cut on his head and a scraped shin. No one else was involved in the accident.

"Lets be honest, hes good eenough to pitch in the big leagues," Gibbons said.
