(Sports Network) - The Flyers and Jets combined for 17 goals when they met for a game last month in Philadelphia. Today, the clubs will clash for the first time since that wild contest, as the Flyers visit Winnipeg for a battle at the MTS Centre. The game can be heard live on TSN Radio 1290 and TSN.ca/Winnipeg at 2pm ct/3pm et. The Jets posted a 9-8 victory over the Flyers on Oct. 27, as nine different players scored for Winnipeg, which blew a pair of four-goal leads in the NHLs highest-scoring contest of the season. The Winnipeg franchise, which was located in Atlanta until this season, has taken four straight and eight of the last nine encounters with the Flyers. This marks Philadelphias first game in Winnipeg since March 22. 1996. Both the Flyers and the Jets enter today riding small winning streaks, as Philadelphia has taken three in a row for the first time since the opening week of the season and Winnipeg has recorded consecutive victories for just the second time this year. Philadelphia has notched recent wins over Florida, Carolina and Phoenix to match the clubs longest winning streak of the year. The Flyers also won three in a row from Oct. 6-12 and Peter Laviolettes team last claimed four straight from Jan. 14-20 of last season. With a 2-1 regulation win over Phoenix on Thursday, the Flyers have recorded a point in eight straight games and are 6-0-2 in those tilts. Philly edged the Coyotes thanks to rookie Matt Reads game-winner with 18.6 seconds left in the third period. Ilya Bryzgalov also made 30 saves against his former team to help lift the Flyers past Phoenix. With time winding down in regulation, Jakub Voracek held the puck at the left boards and fired a shot on net that Phoenix goaltender Mike Smith stopped. The rebound, though, when to Maxime Talbot at the right side and he slipped it back over to Read for the easy slam. "Just being in the right spot at the right time, I guess," said Read, who has six goals and five assists in 15 games this season. James van Riemsdyk scored the other goal for the Flyers, while Voracek extended his point streak to five games with an assist. Philadelphia did lose Jaromir Jagr to a lower body injury in the win and the Czech star is expected to sit out this afternoon. Jagr is considered day-to-day and could be back on the ice when Philly hosts Carolina on Monday. Bryzgalov didnt start the October meeting against Winnipeg, but he wound up surrendering four goals on 10 shots in that contest. The Russian backstop is 5-0-1 since that appearance and has yielded two goals or less in all six of his starts over that span. The Flyers boast the best road record in the NHL at 6-1-1 and Philly has earned a point in four straight games (3-0-1) as the visitor. The Jets, meanwhile, will try to close out a perfect three-game homestand today after recording wins over Tampa Bay and Washington. The only other time Winnipeg has won consecutive games this year was on Oct. 31 and Nov. 2 against Florida and the New York Islanders, respectively. After beating the Lightning by a 5-2 score on Monday, the Jets dismantled another Southeast Division rival on Thursday with a 4-1 decision over the Capitals. Evander Kane scored two goals and Ondrej Pavelec made 31 saves to lift Winnipeg to the easy win. "We had a lot of heart and a lot of passion and we played really strong," said Jets head coach Claude Noel. Blake Wheeler and Kyle Wellwood added power-play goals for Winnipeg, which had lost five in a row before posting consecutive wins on home ice. The Jets are 4-3-0 in Winnipeg this season. Pavelec won the October meeting against Philly despite allowing seven goals on 43 shots. He is 3-1-0 with a 3.92 goals-against average in five career games against the Flyers. Forward Eric Fehr could make his debut for the Jets tonight after missing the first 19 games of the season following offseason shoulder surgery. Fehr was acquired from Washington on July 8 in exchange for a fourth-round pick in the 2012 draft and forward Danick Paquette. Fehr, who was activated from injured reserve on Saturday, had 10 goals and 10 assists while skating in just 52 games for Washington last year. Youth Jeoffrey Pagan Jersey . CHICAGO -- Brandon Jennings stretched out his arms and held his hands just over the ground as he glided toward centre court, celebrating another big 3-pointer with one of Nate Robinsons usual moves. Yup, Jennings was listening to Robinsons trash talk, and he had the perfect response. The speedy point guard scored 20 of his 35 points in the third quarter, and the Milwaukee Bucks beat the Chicago Bulls 104-96 on Wednesday night for their second consecutive victory under interim coach Jim Boylan. Robinson scored 13 of his 19 points in the first period, but was unable to stop Jennings once he got going in the third. "A little trash talking before the second half," Jennings said. "I guess he felt like he had it going, he was getting the best of me. I really dont take trash talking too kindly because I dont really do a lot of trash talking. I warned him, so, hey, it happens." Mike Dunleavy had 16 points and Monta Ellis finished with 14 for Milwaukee, which made 10 of 22 3-point attempts. Larry Sanders grabbed 12 rebounds and blocked seven shots. "I think the whole team played well, but obviously Brandon, offensively, really got it going," Boylan said. "I thought our defence got a little more active, coming up with loose balls. Larrys presence around the basket is intimidating. Guys go in there and theyre looking for him." Carlos Boozer had 22 points and 11 rebounds for the Bulls, who have dropped their last two games against Milwaukee at United Center. The Bulls blew a 27-point lead in the third quarter as Milwaukee snapped a nine-game losing streak against Chicago with a 93-92 victory on Nov. 26. "Just second half, I think they made a lot of tough shots," Boozer said. "Brandon was amazing. We missed some shots we usually make, and that was the game." Boozer has recorded a double-double in six consecutive games while playing some of his best basketball in three seasons with the Bulls. Its the best such streak for Chicago since Joakim Noah also had a double-double in six straight games in 2009. The Bucks parted ways with Scott Skiles on Monday in what was called a mutual decision, and turned to his top assistant for at least the rest of the seasoon.dddddddddddd Boylan also served as an interim coach in Chicago when Skiles was let go during the 2007-08 season. "I told the guys that Im just gonna have fun with this," Boylan said. "Coach as well as I can coach, motivate these guys, and thats what Im gonna do." It was a lot of fun against Chicago, especially when Jennings got on a roll in the third. He was 4 for 7 from long range in the period, including two 3s during a quick 8-0 burst that gave the Bucks a 72-64 lead with 4:48 left. "Teams go in stretches where they score and score and score," Robinson said. "Its like you cant do nothing about it. But tonight we beat ourselves. Brandon Jennings got hot. It happens." Robinson also downplayed his running conversation with Jennings. "A couple of dirty plays exchanged, but, you know, nothing to complain about," he said. "Its basketball." Jennings added a key floater in the fourth as the Bucks won for only the seventh time in their last 27 games against the Bulls. Luol Deng scored 18 points for Chicago, which was seeking a season-best fourth consecutive victory. Robinson got the start in place of Kirk Hinrich, who was sidelined with a right elbow injury. It was the fifth start of the season for the streaky guard, who made three 3-pointers in the first quarter to help Chicago grab a 33-23 lead after one. The Bulls still held a 10-point lead in the final seconds of the first half when Jennings connected from long range, slicing Chicagos advantage to 57-50 at the break. NOTES: Bulls C Nazr Mohammed was preparing for the second half when a giant inflatable Benny the Bull landed on him near the free-throw line. The operator quickly got the mascot away from Mohammed, who just smiled as he continued to warm up. ... Hinrich has been hampered by a slew of injuries this season. He missed three games in December with a bruised left knee and a game in November because of an injured right hip. ... Boylan said before the game he thinks Skiles will coach again. ... The crowd roared when Bears CB Charles Tillman was shown on the overhead videoboard before the final period. ... Jennings has made at least one 3-pointer in a career-best 22 straight games. cheap jerseys wholesale jerseys ' ' '
