The Calgary Stampeders signed import defensive lineman Kevin Dixon to a contract extension on Wednesday.

Dixon had 14 tackles, two tackles for loss, two sacks and one forced fumble as a member of the Stamps defensive line last season. "Kevin has shown the potential to be an explosive defensive player in this league," said Stampeders head coach and general manager John Hufnagel. "Im anxious to see him take the next step with our football club." Dixon signed with the NFLs Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent in April 2010 and was later released.

And the smart players decision has to be not to continue, unfortunately." Haas said he has been frustrated with shoulder problems and admitted it could play a factor on when to stop playing. "Ive had three shoulder injuries and one elbow injury, so my shoulder is not the youngest, not the way it needs to be," Haas said.
