Eric Wedge has told the Seattle Mariners that he will not return as manager next season.
Wedge said it became obvious that he did not have a future with the organization.

Orioles Wont Engage In Talks With Hardy Cruz Markakis During Season - RealGM Wiretap
Dan Duquette says the Baltimore Orioles will not discuss long-term contract extensions with any of their players during the season.
That means the futures of J.J. Hardy, Nelson Cruz and Nick Markakis won't be decided until the fall.
"We're not going to be exploring any extensions during the season. We are focused on the club during the season," Duquette said. "Once the season starts, I think it benefits the team and the players and the fans to keep the focus on the field and the players on the field."
The club reached an agreement on an extension with Adam Jones in May 2012, but Duquette said the situation was different because negotiations had begun earlier and continued into the season.

"My neck simply did not respond to any of the treatments of the past few weeks. The Mets said Wright's return date "will be determined based on the results of the procedure and the progress of his recovery."
It remains to be seen if a return this season is possible.
Agent Wilson Would Thrive In New York - RealGM Wiretap Yankees general manager Brian Cashman checked in with the agent for left-hander C.J. Wilson over the weekend as he begins to assess the free agent market. Wilson's agent, Bob Garber, believes that Wilson and his gregarious personality would "thrive" in New York. "He is one of those guys who would fit in there very well," Garber said. "He would fit in most places pretty well. New York, I think he would thrive in a city like that. "His No. 1 priority is that he wants to play for a winning team. The Yankees have as good or better a reputation of that than anybody. It is very early in the process. We're just waiting and sitting back to see how it plays out." .
